Val  Kleyman, Esq. (Of Counsel)

Val Kleyman joined Baker, Sanders, Barshay, Grossman, Fass, Muhlstock & Neuwirth, L.L.C. as a partner in 2008. He graduated from Syracuse University in New York and attended Brooklyn Law school. During law school, Val was a member of Moot Court Trial Advocacy team and competed in ATLA national competition. After sweeping the New York state and then taking 1st place in the East coast competition, his team went to compete in the national competition in Chicago, where the team made it the the semifinals and ranked 15th in the nation.

After graduation, Val worked for JPMorgan Chase in the loans department assisting the compliance division with various commercial transactions. In 2004, Val went into the private practice and founded the law firm of Treyvus Konoski & Kleyman, P.C. In 2005, he began his own firm, Kleyman & Associates, P.C. with specialization in corporate law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and no-fault litigation. As a solo practitioner, Val handled complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy matters, and insurance litigation matters. Apart from his legal work, Val serves as a general counsel to several leading corporations and non-profit organizations.

In 2007, Val was nominated to the Board of Directors of ABRUD (American Brotherhood of Russian Disabled), a non profit organization with thousands of members nationwide where he continues to provide invaluable service to the community. Val also regularly teaches a class for young business professionals an the local Bensonhurst community center. Val is also a distinguished leader in the Russian community and frequently appears as a guest speaker on various talk television shows and in the local media. Currently, he is heading the firms corporate and commercial litigation and bankruptcy divisions.
