E. David Woycik, Jr., is a graduate of Hofstra University and Hofstra University Law School. He was admitted to the bar in 1981. Mr. Woycik began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County. During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Woycik had a reputation for being a tough but fair Litigator, who prosecuted the first Anti-Semitism case in Suffolk County as well as being one of the first prosecutors in the state who obtained convictions for drunk driving cases as felonies. In 1985, Mr. Woycik became the Vice President and General Counsel of Pharmafair, Inc., a generic pharmaceutical company based in Hauppauge, New York. During his 3 year tenure with Pharmafair, the company's sales grew from $8 million to $20 million dollars. In 1988, Mr. Woycik returned to trial practice with the firm of Legan and Welsh, in Queens, N.Y. and handled hundreds of civil cases involving construction, lead paint, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle accidents. In 1992, he joined the firm of Sanders, Sanders, Block, Woycik, Viener & Grossman and has been a Partner since 1995.

He has been recognized on a regular basis by the New York Jury Verdict Reporter for his Multi-Million dollar verdicts and settlements. He has either settled or tried to verdict cases of Highway Design, Negligent Security, Motor Vehicle, Construction and/or Nursing Home cases for settlements of up to $10 million dollars each. Mr. Woycik is also appointed on a regular basis as a Court Evaluator, Referee, and Guardian for infants and persons in need in many courts in the N.Y. metropolitan area.

Hofstra University Law School has named its Trial Advocacy Program the E. David Woycik Jr., Intensive Trial Techniques Program,due to his outstanding dedication and commitment to Hofstra University School of Law. He has taught Trial Advocacy for the National Institute of Trail Advocacy at Hofstra Law School and Widener University for over 20 years. He also is a Lecturer for the American Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association. Mr. Woycik has also represented numerous defendants over his years of practice including USAA, Avis Corporation, Emerson Electric, and Hofstra University.

Mr. Woycik is a Colonel in the United States Army Reserves, Judge Advocate General Corps and served overseas during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991. During this conflict, Colonel Woycik was awarded the Bronze Star and has also been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal three times. Mr. Woycik also served in the War against Terrorism in 2003 and was activated as the Staff Judge Advocate for mobilization at Fort Dix, NJ. Mr. Woycik is admitted to the Federal Bar, New York State Bar and the Court of Military Appeals. He is also a member of Nassau/Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He also has appeared on Court TV as a guest Commentator.
