Sulzer Orthopedics Hip Replacement Recall

If your hip replacement surgery has failed as a result of a faulty implant device, you may be eligible to seek significant compensation from the manufacturer.

Recently, Sulzer Orthopedics, a major international manufacturer of artificial joints, has recalled thousands of hip implants produced since 1997. Due to defective manufacturing, the implants tend to loosen within the body causing severe pain and discomfort. Some patients even require new implants when that occurs, requiring further surgeries and long recoveries.

If you have experienced hip-related discomfort after recent replacement surgery or know somebody who has, you should contact your doctor or tell them to do the same immediately to determine if the implant was from Sulzer Orthopedics.

If you have had hip replacement surgery since 1997 to present and are experiencing the following symptoms, you may have a faulty implant. Common symptoms are: (1) groin pain; (2) inner thigh pain; (3) pain when standing; (4) buttock pain; (5) significant startup pain when walking; (6) significant startup pain when rising from a seated position; (7) inability to exert resistance in straight raise leg. Contact your doctor immediately if you have any of these symptoms.

If you do indeed suffer from a defective hip joint replacement (implanted from 1997 to present), SSBWV&G can help you understand and exercise your legal rights.
